Robin Hoods at our Character Parade

Character  Parade by Jake

On Friday our class went to the Character Parade. It meant we had to dress up as book characters. It was fun!  We were probably the 8th  class to go around the crowd. I dressed up as Robin Hood. I had a bow and arrow. I thought I looked just like the real shadowy character.  I also thought  five-hundred people looked fabulous in their costumes.

Dear Tony

Thank you for helping us at the Millennium Centre. I had a wonderful time... it was the best day ever! I loved kayaking, especially when we flipped the kayak over. I was soaked! I was getting a little bit chilly so I got out to dry myself off.

Skylar's Cockroach Story retell

Survivor

I knew it was going to be a bad day.  The lady went screaming as she went out of the room.
“So I am a cockroach!” I was going to share leftover pizza. “You know I might just be an ordinary little guy, but I got friends in high places... see that spider on the ceiling. That is Daddy! He’s not my father but his name is Daddy Long Legs. I  called out, “Yo Daddy,” and he waved back.
“Yo bro, watch out behind you!”
I looked back. The lady was pointing a can of fly spray in my direction. I dived into a crack in the floor. Then the lady went away so I decided to follow her. She was staring at the computer. She typed in a few words and clicked a button.  On the screen popped up a cockroach. I took a closer look. It was facts about cockroaches. I learned that we can live without our heads for a week and we can live without food for a month! I said to the lady, “Goodnight don’t let the bedbugs bite!”

Purple People Eater by Shyla

Literacy Week
 by Shyla Room 18

On Monday 4 March 2016 the Year Threes went to Room 22 while the Year Fours listened to Des Hunt. First Mrs Nichols read Where The Wild Are. Then she read us a poem called Purple People Eater. After she read us the poem. She gave us a Purple People Eater picture. She told us to colour in the picture. I coloured in a rainbow Purple People Eater. Mrs Nichols told us to at least colour something purple because it was called Purple People Eater. I did a purple nose, purple ears, pink arms and legs. We cut out our Purple People Eater. Finally finished it by getting a red piece of paper to make a tongue.
