Jake's Story about Digestion
The Process of Digestion by Jake Rm 18
This is the story of the digestive system.
The mouth is where your teeth, tongue and saliva break up the food that you put in your mouth. Then it goes into the oesophagus which squishies and squashes the food. Next it goes into the stomach and acid dissolves and breaks it down further. After that it goes into the small intestine which breaks it down even more. But it still needs to be broken down a little more so it goes to the large intestine. From both the small and large intestine the good vitamins go into the bloodstream and get pumped around the body by the heart. The waste left in the large intestine comes out of the body.
That is how your food is digested.
Winnie's Digestion Report
The Process Of Digestion
By Winnie Room 18
You are about to read and learn about The Process of Digestion.
The mouth contains teeth, saliva and a tongue that breaks down the food into tiny little bits.
The Oesophagus squishes and squashes then pushes the food into the stomach.
In the stomach acid breaks the food into into tiny little pieces
Now it is moving through the Small Intestine. The sugar and vitamins and nutrients gets absorbed into the bloodstream.
The heart pumps the blood all around the body.
The rest of the food becomes waste in the Large Intestine then………Pop! It goes out of your body.
That’s how food goes through your body.

You are now about to learn about the digestion process.
Imagine you are picking an apple off an apple tree. You bite into the juicy sweet apple. Crunch Crunch! You are using your tongue teeth and saliva. Now you are swallowing a mouthful of apple. Your bits of apple are now going through your Oesophagus. The Oesophagus squishes and squashes the apple into the Stomach. Now it breaks into smaller molecules from the acid. Now it is starting to squish into the Small Intestine which jingles and jangles it into the bloodstream. The Heart pumps the blood all around the body. Then it goes into the Large Intestine. Now it goes through the Large Intestine then ……...POP! Now it’s out of your body.
That is how food goes through your body.

Autumn leaves swirling like dancers on a stage
Dew feels all wet on the morning grass
Breezy air brushes past my face

Red, orange, gold and chocolate brown leaves Swaying from the trees
Children jumping, laughing and diving in piles of leaves
Birthdays with rainbow colours filling the fresh Autumn air

Red leaves
Brown leaves
Softly drifting down
Leaves as crispy as crackers
Evergreen trees
Deciduous trees
Swaying side to side

Squelching as you walk
Grass as damp as soggy chips

Karthiga's Autumn Poem
Autumn Leaves by: Karthiga Room 18
Autumn Leaves
Ruby red
Buttercup yellow
Rusty brown
Gold leaves shimmering
Hanging tightly on a brown wrinkly tree
Long leaves
Short leaves
Thin leaves
Fat leaves
Zig-Zag leaves
In the Autumn air.
Leaves like tissue paper
Leaves belly flopping on the ground
Leaves like Acrobats
Leaves like Ballerinas
Trees surrounding us
Deciduous trees
Evergreen trees
Multi coloured trees
Leaves rustling together
Trees swaying side by side
Leaves prickly like hedgehogs
Lush green grass
Foggy grass from the morning dew
Swish! Swish!
Make a wish!
Autumn is in the air!
